The book is really easy to read and very simple book of 80 some pages that's it.
The chapters are short and to the point. There isn't much talks alhamdulillah.
But of course beneficial. I always wanted a book on this topic. I never found one in English from our scholars, so when i saw this book few months back in a store, i just took it right away alhamdulillah.
I did buy one in Arabic alhamdulillah found at rimarket.net.

This is an excellent book. It is about our Shaykh, Imam Muqbil ibn Hadee Al-Wadee. His wife has written it. At the beginning of the book it is all about the last journey of his, his illness and travels and lessons he gave during it until the event of his passing away.
Then shaykhah stated a lot of poems that were written regarding the shaykh muqbil by his students and those who loved him and missed a great deal.
Then it included a lot of his fatawa that he gave during his last journey. Alhamdulillah.
Brings tears to the eyes as you read and even now as I write. He passed away but he left for us so much. Alhamdulillah.
Some of the fatawa our brother Abu Humairah has translated for us found here:

The Siege Upon Dammaj in the Year of 1432 A.H. | for everyone |

Author: | Abu Asma Milhan ibn Haniffa As.Sirilaank |
Bismillah walhamdulillah, Allahu Akhbar, i really have to say, i totally loved this work subhan Allah. Alhamdulillah.
The brother did great job in organizing the ayat and ahadeeth to assure the one in trail, in jihad, in seeking knowledge, dawah, during tests, sabr, rewards, and then gave like brief biography and background of Dammaj and its classes, library, how many who memorized Quraan and Sahih Bukhari and Muslim, its library and its people and how the area are and how free of fitnah it is and more.
The order he used was great, Alhamdulillah. i have 10 pages left i think, sleep started to take over so i had to stop. but i really loved this small book full of benefits.
Here is your copy: http://www.scribd.com/doc/75830707/The-Siege-Upon-Dammaj-in-the-Year-1432H
I 100% recommend this booklet to everyone, and there was a question i saw from someone on youtube who said, why jihad in dammaj specifically, is their blood more pure than other muslims, Allahul Musta'an, you can imagine what a sick heart this people may have, really pinched me down.
but Allahu Akhbar walhamdulillah our brother dealt with it nice, even during trails people will heart things against them and they have to have sabr.
Let me tell you in a simple sentence, is there any other people Allah and Rasul sallallahu alayhe wa sallam praised like they Praised people of knowledge, is there any other people for whom even the whale in the sea makes supplication other than people of knowledge and this Dammaj is packed with scholars and students of knowledge, it is a blessed land, truly blessed.
Tell me is there any other places on earth where jihad took/taking place (recently) like Palestine or Iraq or Pakistan or other places, do they have over 50 classes taking place every single day, and it is a place from which you get such ebook sent out, did you ever get one? Are those places known to be upon salafiyah and over 5000 to 7000 students residing and more.
I do not think so and Allah knows best.
Dammaj holds scholars and students of knowledge and their families and what's more they are all upon salafiyah Alhamdulillah.
and these are the things that makes it all the more special if you have not known it. O Allah preserve our brothers and preserve their families and our scholars and their families, and Your Slaves upon Your Pure deen ya Rabbil Arshil A3dheem, Ya Jalzali wal-ikhram.
O Allah destroy the rafidah down to earth, and wash them away from the earth. O Allah give our scholars and student of knowledge victory over them. Allahumma ameen, ameen, ameen.
As you read the book, you can feel the state of Emaan our brothers have, Allahu Akhbar, in this hard days, without food and attacks and more, such a strong emaan and faith in Allah, come up with books like this. Allahu Akhbar, These are certainly our role models to follow. May Allah preserve them.
and one thing amazed me, our mashaykh in Yemen [and other than them from other country as well that i may not know] hold to this sunnah much i believe, Shaykh Yahya has 4 wives with over 20 children maashaaAllah. May Allah preserve them and make them all scholars of Islam Ameen. Allahumma Ameen. Amazing really. MaashaaAllah.

Alhamdulillah Who has blessed me with this book and Who has given me tawfeeq to finish is and i hope and ask Allah that He grants me tawfeeq to act on at least 3 things from this book. Ameen.
It is of course wonderful book, you can benefit from his manner of seeking knowledge, and his worship and his sabr, and his tawqa of Allah and his precious advices and much more.
# 1 thing i can recall of the book is the great care our beloved Imam and Noble Imam has taken to preserve his tongue from talking too much, and how careful he was to criticize the narrators of ahadeeth, although it was not backbiting to mention their faults, but he was so selective in what he says fearing that Allah may find him from the backbiters. Allahu Akhbar.
and look at us, when we see one in error, we go in great length to point out his mistakes, saying, it is not backbiting. Allahul Musta'an.
one of the best advice you can find in the book from Imam bukhari is the advice that he gave to someone who came to seek ilm of hadith, all about 4 things. MaashaaAllah. One of the four things are four gifts you need from Allah to seek knowledge that is: good health, ability and talent, and a strong drive to learn and a retentive memory.
and another four things he mentioned was that you will be tested with four things: 1. enemies who find satisfaction in his failures and mistakes; 2. friends who find fault with him; 3. ignorant people who level accusations against him; 4. scholars who become jealous of him and his achievements.
*** Jealousy is so evil that one is left to say nothing to people of what he does because as Ibn taymiyah said, there is not a blessing on one except that there would be someone who would be jealousy of him for that if the person comes to know and realize. Allahul Musta'an. and Such Jealousy has made the vast earth limited to our Noble Imam as people cut him off due to one of the scholar of a town who went so far as to accuse him of a false view that Imam Bukhari was free. may Allah protect us ameen. ***
and in another advice he said, he people of duniyah are busy with their doings, then we the seeker of knowledge should be in to our seeking knowledge and be busy with that. may Allah aid us. Ameen.
and another thing that was great to hear from him was: knowledge is a sustenance from Allah, He gives it to whom He wills.
he was very rich but he was very generous and lived a very simple life. maashaaAllah.
Imam bukhari was tested by jealousy of current scholars of his time, mostly one of them who went in great extent such that the earth with its vastness become limited to him so he made dua that Allah takes him to Himself, [give him death]. and He died by the end of the month in which he made the dua.
after he died, there was smell, better smell than musk was coming out from his grave and there was white pillars that would be seen reaching the skies. Subhan Allah. Such is the good end. Allahu Akhbar. May Allah grant us such a good end ameen.
and this is enough to share in here, i hope you decide to buy the book and benefit more.
May Allah save you and us from jealousy, because i can tell you there are so much jealousy amongst people around us, people cannot stand the blessings of Allah on each others. They give evil eye to people and accuse of people of falsehood and make people run away from people of good. May Allah protect us ameen.

Steve Jobs | for everyone |

Genre: | Biographies & Memoirs |
Author: | Walter Isaacson |
Well! 2 of you asked for it and i thought i should share it for some benefits we can take from his life. I put one star because it is just a OK because, a non-islam book.
Book is interesting enough to catch my attention to keep me reading, but it is such a huge book taking me too much time to finish it. still have like 200 pages left!
first lessons for me and us to take: You could be successful but your evil manners won't be forgotten.
Steve was not a man from whom you could learn much lessons to benefit from in life from patience and taqwa and more like we find our books of scholars and their biographies.
He was up for perfections so much and he was so picky for that, he would not care about money when he liked something and wanted to get it done. i look at my apple macbook pro now and when i see rectangles with round corners, i remember what effort he put to get that then. he convinced the one who did it that it could be done after making him up walk a lot and showing him so many examples that it could be done. So he came up with it and everything later on had rectangles with round corners.
He was so unclean but he made sure his product came out neat and clean and stunning. he smelled bad but that did not stop him to hunt for the perfections in his works and designs.
He was a Buddhist in heart and he followed that. He had teacher who was near him. he changed later a bit as to how strict he was about following that. he became clean later on.
He was mad harsh, things were either great or worse to him. just two extreme ends. He would say plain out if great or otherwise, didn't care how you felt or no.
he was insanely pushy and motivating - that's what they call his reality distortion field, i do not know what was wrong with that but he just did that to get things done, and he didn't use it in a bad way, i did not see that at all. if he didn't use that, then apple wouldn't be the best company on earth. DA!
of course, everyone had to work hard. well! you see the fruits, is there any other laptops or computers or phones or other products as good as apple products in design or in works? i do not think so.
# 1 thing about apple is the design, they have the most beautiful designs that i ever saw in the technology.
steve was kicked out of the company and was not in it for 12 years, everyone hated him for his evil manners of being harsh. He only wanted everyone to make things perfect and he only kept A graded people in his companies and teams. so guess what after they kicked him out? apple dropped on the floor and crashed itself.
then they begged him to come back. and apple jumped up again.
you hear lots of evil stuffs about how steve is in first 300 or so pages then toward the end it goes down because you know he brought the apple high up again. he was still harsh but people figured that's how they did best works because he was really pushy and made them work hard.
he had two leaders one Tim cook and another Ive, designer of apple. Tim is now the CEO of apple.
steve liked them a lot and worked great with them. well in the long run he found good people who liked him and worked great with him overlooking his shortcomings.
most notable thing about steve, the positive side, he was up for perfection and nothing else in all that he did in his life. he did anything to get things done.
Abu Yaala Shaddad bin Aws said that the messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhe wa sallam said: "Verily Allah has prescribed proficiency in all things. Thus, if you kill, kill well; and if you slaughter, slaughter well. Let each one of you sharpen his blade and let him spare suffering to the animal he slaughters." Related by Muslim
so may Allah make us of those who perfect whatever we do not bring about trashing works out there that last not long.
his bad side, just that he was judging either good or evil, and he would say it right away. whatever he felt good or bad he would say it and didn't care about hurting anyone's feeling.
Someone reviewed the book and really said bad stuffs about steve, well! i do not want to say too much, because i firstly brought the book because he has something common with me that is stubborn and harshness i guess as well.
he was advised to change but he wasn't able to change even if he tried. perhaps a week or 2, he could help but then back to his own way.
i ask Allah to rectify my own characters and shortcomings.
Being a Muslim is a GREAT blessing and Islam is the best Blessing, you have everything in front of you, you know what you should do, why you should do, what you get etc.
but non-muslims really do not have that.
HIs father although was from a muslim family, he was not given an islamic life, he studied in a christian school in his country and then went on to do fornication, may Allah protect us from such end and then serve casino. may Allah guide that man before His death ameen.
He has really smart children and grand children. i wish they were muslims.
Steve lived a normal life. he met his mother and kept relationship with her and his sister but he never contacted his father though he met him not knowing him. he had no desire for anything of his father's side, even the country he was from or anything.
steve didn't have good relationship with his fornicated daughter Lisa either, on and off went relationships.
his boy was fornicated too, his wife was pregnant before marriage but that's the life of the kuffars. what do you expect.
Best part for us muslims alhamdulillah is that apple has produced great products for us that we can benefit from.
I feel like yelling at those muslims who have iphone at hand still ask you what's the prayer time or do not put alarm for fajr salah or any other ones, and they have no quraan app or hadith app in use. Shame on them.
wouldn't that iphone stand as an evidence against them in the akhirah, you had everything at your finger tips and you just choose not to use anything. Some of them just pridefully ignores to use iphone for any religious use.
it is their music and game players. how loser are they?
may Allah guide and them.
i feel sad for one thing, apple's stuffs had been stolen by android and HTC and other companies. steve was not happy.
someone said he was rude with bil gates, man! was he even nice to steve. he did the same no less perhaps more.
i liked the book in general but his language was really bad, i don't want to talk like that. may Allah protect my tongue from those evil words.
but i noticed a thing, if you hear so much evil stuffs, those things eventually get into your head and comes out of your mouth without you knowing. i get shocked when this happen to me.

Iphone 4 | for everyone |

I made istikhara before i went to buy this iphone as it was very expensive and i did not know how useful it would be for my seeking of knowledge for which i wanted to buy. I wanted to buy an ebook reader. after selling my library i only had ebooks and audios and carrying a laptop and reading from it is not easy as you know. i hope inshaaAllah.
I wanted to buy something that has everything or almost everything. i never bought phone for myself or i never had one either except for few months that my father let me have a phone while in school so if i am late i can contact them or they can call me. But i never had a phone of my own.
and sometimes i need a phone. alhamdulillah after google offered google phone/voice i was so happy. i could use it from my laptop and call whenever i needed. I never had a camera either. I always used my sister's camera to take pictures of books instead of scanning and things. I never had ipod but i had mp3 players. And i wanted mp3 player with speakers so i bought last year sony mp3 player as it has speaker.
Last year when iphone 4 came out, my younger sisters got two of them for each of them, my sister used to work in radio shack so she god $300 dollars discount. I used to see them use it always. and i used to read on it too when i started to think of getting one for myself. They are expensive as you know. when i saw iphone 4 unlocked came out, i really wished i could get one as i could use it for any phone line i wanted when i need.
I read so much and i really wanted and after selling my library i needed an ebook reader. so i was reading on amazon kindle and ipad and iphone. I did not want buy ipad due to some shortcomings i saw in it [but which was not a shortcoming in reality but alhamdulillah Allah didn't decree for a good reason].
so i bought iphone 4 unlocked 16GB and also amazon kindle just to meet my needs that i was seeking on reading ebooks and phone line etc. but when i got amazon kindle at hand, i was not happy with it at all. the quality was so so so poor, no support for arabic font and no arabic key board and everything about is so bad quality i couldn't believe. i returned right away for full refund.
but alhamdulillah as i got my iphone and i started to discover it, alhamdulillah i feel grateful each day for buying iphone alhamdulillah. i read more ebooks with it than i ever read on my laptop and i use my google phone app and also skype and ebooks and camera and everything and alhamdulillah i use google translator like a dictionary whenever i need.
I feel so happy. it has like everything i need. alhamdulillah. and there are a lot of islamic app too. maashaaAllah. and arabic key board of iphone, i am so so happy that it has arabic font alhamdulillah and keyboard so nicely done.
I still do not own a phone line but i just have iphone in case if i need a phone line in future inshaaAllah i can use it.
I love my mac too. it has shortcomings. but i still am happy.
i saw ipad. it looks too huge to me so far to carry around and read from it. so alhamdulillah iphone is just perfect for me. i saw ipod touch and it looks little smaller to me.
I am blessed and happy to have my iphone alhamdulillah. it was costly but it is worth its costs. quality is so great alhamdulillah. i use camera to take picture of books and make into pdf as you saw few already maashaaAllah.
and it has a recorder and also speaker and i mean i have almost everything i need my iphone, do not know what i do not have yet alhamdulillah.
....
i really do not recommend amazon kindle to anyone, it is so poor quality, i do not know how people use it. i do not like it at all. if someone just reads english pdf reader good but internet browser is so bad and slow maashaaAllah.
alhamdulillah for His countless blessings.

I bought the book over the summer, in the month of August, Alhamdulillah. When i saw the book, i knew i have to get it before it is out of stock. Alhamdulillah Allah gave me tawfeeq to buy it. I didn't open the pack of the book until like on Nov. beginning and only Last night i touched to see inside of the book.
After reading couple of sentences, i really liked the book and kept reading on and then started from Beginning. I am not done yet but i really wanted to share it still hoping someone will wish to buy.
Upon visiting the page, realized it is out of stock but you can still keep checking until you get to buy it inshaaAllah, perhaps even request the Admin of the site to re-stock it right inshaaAllah?

Let me share with you little benefit i gained at least thus far
Conditions of Makaremal Akhlaq [Noble Manners]
# 1 - Ikhlas Lillah
# 2 - Fiqh [fid-Deen]
To be honest with you, i totally forgot about the condition of Ikhlas and even forgot the part that if we strive to have good manners and have good manners, then it is a form of worship. Allahul Musta'an. Alhamdulillah Who has guided me to this knowledge. Alhamdulillah.
Signs of Makaremal Akhlaq [Noble Manners]
# 1 - patiently forbearing of harm
# 2 - loving good for the Muslims
Under the first one, a hadith was cited where a badueen pulled off his cloak leaving mark and then asked him to give him from the wealth Allah has given him. After this harsh manner, still our Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam smiled back at him and gave him wealth.
Shaykh was saying, ponder over this manner of our Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, how he had forbearance and patience with the harsh manner of the Badueen, how he tolerated the harm on himself and on his wealth.
I think this was a very strong hadith to make me think of many things. Alhamdulillah. How quickly we get angry for ourselves if someone touches us with harms of any sort. May Allah forgive us and grant us makaremal Akhlaq. Ameen.
May Allah truly benefit me with every single word of this Book and bless me with makaremal akhlaq. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah, just a bit ago finished reading the book that i bought on Saturday morning from Dar-us-salam Store. Alhamdulillah. I really wanted to buy the book after reading some parts of it shared by a sister in her blog.
I had some money to buy the books i bought and i did that but later my friend wanted to give me the books i bought with her as gift to me as i will be leaving for my country, isn't that so sweet, may Allah reward her. Ameen.
The Book is of course so beneficial, it gives only glimpses into the lives of our Scholars, may Allah grant them forgiveness and Jannah Ameen. As i read, i just made dua and still am making dua that Allah makes me like these scholars and grants me tawfeeq to follow in their example and benefit me with everything that i read in that book. Ameen.
May Allah make me and all of us generous and open heart-ed and fearful of Allah at all time, and grant us high manners and moral codes and make us gentle and forbearing and patient and wisdom and more and more. Ameen.

Serving the Ummah Regardless
Shaykh Ahmad al-Qattan narrates12:
‘One day we visited the Shaykh [ibn Baaz] whilst he was suffering from an ailment in his leg. The doctor stood beside the Shaykh for an hour seeking the Shaykh’s permission to begin treating him, but the continuous telephone calls from the people seeking religious answers to their questions led to the doctor standing for a long time. Even when we left the Shaykh, the doctor had as yet been unable to treat him.’

Give the benefit of the doubt
Doosh bint Falah ad-Dawsaree narrates:
‘One of the people who used to regularly visit the Shaykh (Ibn Baz) mentioned that once the Shaykh was extending his greetings to the people who had gathered when a man who smelt of cigarette smoke came and shook his hand. So, one over-enthusiastic person hastened to tell the Shaykh (about this) as if he wished for the man to be rebuked and scolded. However, the Shaykh, with his welcoming heart and good opinion of the people said, paraphrasing: “Do not be hasty in passing judgement! It is possible that he was a passenger with someone who smokes and as a result some of the smell went onto him.’”

During the final hours of his life
Fahd ibn ‘Abdil-’Azeez as-Sunaydee narrates(14):
‘Shaykh Talaal ibn Ahmad al-’Aqeel said: In the early evening of 27th Muharram 1420 AH, right after the Maghrib salaah, myself, Shaykh ‘Abdur-Rahmaan al-Ujayree and Misfir al-Moosaa, went to visit the noble Shaykh Ibn Baaz at his home, in Taif. As was his habit, the Shaykh had around him 25 people who had come to visit him. Everyone had their need; this one wants to ask for a fatwa and this one wants to ask a question and this one just came to visit to extend his greetings (salaam) to the Shaykh. On that day, I saw the Shaykh‘s face was radiating with light (noor) and his happiness indicated how much at ease he was and his desire to show love to all those who were gathered around him.
So, he asked the name of everyone who extended their greetings to him, and if he knew them, he would ask them about their affairs, their family and children. Someone came to the Shaykh and he gave him (enough) to satisfy his needs, and another called from one of the Arab states to ask the extent of his ability to assist him in gaining entry to the Islaamic University in Madeenah. The Shaykh said to him: “Send (us) your papers and we will do what we are able are able to.” Another came to ask him for a fatwa regarding divorce and the Shaykh responded to his question with much composure and wisdom.
One of the Shaykhs came to extend greetings to the Shaykh on behalf of some of the Shuyookh, and he asked for the Shaykh‘s opinion regarding electric mosquito repellents. The Shaykh replied: “If it is electric, then it is (a form of) fire and thus it is not permissible to strike mosquitoes with fire.”
Then the servant of the house came with coffee, tea and bakhoor (incense) and the Shaykh continued to answer the telephone, one call after another. To the right of the Shaykh sat Shaykh ‘Abdul-’Azeez ibn Naasir, and to his left sat Shaykh Ibn Moosaa; both of them had papers with them, each one reading one after the other to the Shaykh.
Suddenly, the Shaykh raised his voice and said: “I ask Allaah ‘Azza wa Jall to grant tawfeeq to everyone with all that is good, and to purify our intentions and to accept from us (our) sincere actions and to grant Islaam and the Muslims honour.” Then he made a long supplication while we responded by saying ‘Aameen.’ Then the adhaan for the ‘Ishaa salaah was called, and we stood and bade farewell to the Shaykh; kissing his hands, which were warm and smooth. Again, he prayed for tawfeeq for us.
This is what the Shaykh was doing during the final hours of his life.’

Khayran, inshaaAllaah..
Shaykh ‘Abdul-Maalik al-Qaasim narrates(15):
‘Shaykh Muhammad ar-Roomee, a lecturer at the Faculty of Teaching, and someone who was renowned and respected for interpreting dreams, mentioned to me:
“About a year ago, I met Shaykh Ibn Baaz and he asked me about the interpretation of a dream he had which was as follows: He saw himself on a mountain, and with him was the Messenger (of Allaah) and another man. The Messenger then descended and headed for his masjid (al-Masjid an-Nabawee) in Madeenah. There, he led the prayer and the dream ended.”
Shaykh ar-Roomee then said: “I interpreted the dream for him, that: ‘Indeed, O Shaykh you will attain the ranks of the siddiqeen and the shuhadaa.’ This is because the Messenger was upon the Mount of Uhud (and this was understood to be the case in the dream) which then began to shake, so he said:
اثبت أحد فإنما عليك صديق وشهيد
“Stand firm Uhud, for indeed upon you is a Prophet, a Siddeeq and a Shaheed.”(16)
So, it could be the shahaadah (martyrdom) which we pray Allaah ‘Azzaa wa Jall permits the Shaykh to achieve; since he died from a stomach-related illness, or that he prayed for the shahaadah of sidq, and so Allaah granted him both.”
Shaykh ar-Roomee said: “And when I interpreted the dream for the Shaykh, he lowered his head and said: ‘Khayraan, inshaaAllaah.‘”‘

Maintaining family ties
Wafaa(17) bint Muhammad al-Baaz narrates (18):
‘He was always one to ask about everyone without exception.
He used to call us by telephone if he missed any of us or if he travelled to Taif or Makkah, and was not one to consider his right to be asked about even though he was more worthy of being asked about.
He would always say: “I know you are trying to call me or visit me, while I am busy,” and because of this, whenever he would find any time, he would be sure to call and speak to us; asking us about our affairs.’

The jinn flee
Shaykh Badar ibn Naadhir al-Mashaaree narrates(19):
‘One of the (ruqyah) reciters narrates: “That day, I read upon a man who was possessed by a jinn and I spoke to the jinn and said to him; ‘Leave this man, otherwise I will take you to Shaykh Ibn Baaz.’ The jinn cried out, saying: ‘No! By Allaah, if we see Shaykh Ibn Baaz coming along a path, we (change and) go the other way!”"

Inviting to Islaam wherever he may be
Shaykh Amad(21) ibn ‘Abdil ‘Azeez ibn Baaz narrates(22):
‘When he [Ibn Baaz] would attend hospital (appointments) for treatment, there was a Christian from Belgium amongst those on the medical team of specialists treating him.
The Shaykh noticed he would speak Arabic like a foreigner so he asked about him and we informed him as to where he was from and his religion. So, the Shaykh invited him over and sat him next to himself and proposed that he accept Islaam (and become a Muslim). He spoke to him about the beauty of the religion of Islaam and encouraged him to accept the truth (which the religion offered).
This man promised the Shaykh that he would conscientiously read about Islaam and learn more about it so that (when he accepts Islaam) his acceptance will be based upon knowledge and contentment.
From this incident I learnt of the care and attention he paid to inviting the non-Muslims to Islaam with wisdom and good speech(23).’

A follower of the Qur’aan and Sunnah
Shaykh Abu Anas Muhammad Moosaa Nasr narrates(101):
‘I once had a dream about the Shaykh and I consider it from amongst the glad tidings for him. I narrated some of it to him and he cried, saying “O Allaah, make me better than what they suspect of me, and forgive me for that which they do not know (about me).(102)“
I used to visit the Shaykh at his house, always being shy and undecided (about intruding upon him), out of respect for his precious time where he would complete his research projects which were of service to the Prophet Sunnah and the Manhaj of the (Pious) Predecessors. Standing at the door of his house, I would say to him: “Should I enter or go away, O my Shaykh?” And he would reply:
“The likes of you are not told to go away, O Abaa Anas.” I consider this to be a great honour which I am not worthy of.
Anyway, I saw in a dream a large gathering of people who had crowded around a stairway which led up to a balcony with a door in front of it. No one was going up the stairway; rather they were looking up at the balcony and that door. So I said to them: “Whom are you waiting for?” And what are you looking at?” So they said: “The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam).”
So I entered their fold and ascended the stairway until I reached the perch of the balcony, just before the door, so I could be so fortunate as to see the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam). All the time, the people below were looking up towards the door when suddenly the door opened and there came forth our Shaykh al-Albaanee (rahimahullaah).
So, I interpreted the dream to be that he was the most fortunate of people for his efforts in propagating the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) and his steadfastness upon his (salallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) guidance. I narrated this to the Shaykh (rahimahulllaah), and it was as if the dream was saying: “Whoever wants to tread the path of the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) then let him approach this man who has come out from behind this door to seek guidance upon the path of the Messenger (salallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam).’”

102) Translator’s Note: This is part of a supplication the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) recommended his Companions (radhiyallaahu ‘anhuma) to make (as reported by al-Asma’ee) when they were praised by the people and feared the fitnah:
اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِي منْ نَفْسِ، وَأََنَا أَعْلَمُ بِنَفْسِي منْهُمْ،
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْنيِ خيْرً ممًا يَحْسَبُونَ وَ اغْفرْ لي مَا لآ يَعْلَمُونَ،
وَلَاَ تُؤَاخِذْنِي بِمَا يَقُولُونً

Alhamdulillah, just finished reading the book. Really wanted to finish it as the book is really so great and beneficial full of reminders alhamdulillah.
One of my beloved sister in Islam from Trinidad gave me a gift card so i ordered this book thus it is my Eid gift book, alhamdulillah, and i do not know any gift that is better than knowledge that we can give each others. I don't like gifting people food and clothes either. alhamdulillah.
There are 10 miracles that were mentioned in this book as chapters but in reality there were other miracles that were mentioned as 10 major ones were mentioned.
the presentation of the information was really amazing, first chapter was splitting of the moon. i was thinking they would just list out the miracles in simple manner like ahadeeth BUT NO instead the author did such an excellent job presentation, he added so much benefits and reminders that you won't believe until you have the book at hand. In the first split of moon one, maashaaAllah so many information about the moon has been given.
and some of the great reminders regarding Aqeedah and manners and trust and reliance on Allah and remembering Him, supplicating to Him and more were mentioned. I really enjoyed so much. Many times i was moved to tears. may Allah benefit me with the knowledge He has bestowed upon me. ameen.
and i cannot believe dar-us-salam shared with you a chapter of the book too maashaaAllah so you should certainly read it and benefit inshaaAllah .
Dar-us-salam really published some excellent works on History and Seerah, and i wish i could buy all of their books on these subjects. May Allah grant me tawfeeq to do so. ameen.
You should see the sample pages and see the index and some section in the beginning: http://store.dar-us-salam.com/product/179.html
Some points of benefit i loved very much was the reminder about:
# 1: Virtues of Remembering Allah
# 2: Courage is associated to the closeness of Allah, the more firm one is on Emaan, the More courage on has
# 3: That one should trust in Allah and Seek His aid and that everything done by His assistance not due to one being intelligent or some ability they have like strength etc
# 4: Supplicating to Allah and trusting that He will certainly respond and that He is indeed able to do all things.
# 5: repeated reminders about the truthfulness of our Prophet's sallallahu alayhe wa sallam's prophet-hood and HOW ALLAH AIDED HIM AND SUPPORTED HIM. I always love this part and you can feel How truthful it is that our Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam was a friend of Allah, Khalil of Allah, Allah supported him and took care of him and was there for him always no matter what happened.
we all wish we had a best friend who would be there for us in our happy moments and sad events and may Allah be our BEST of friend because there is nothing that is comparable to this.
and this reminds me that if we truly obey Allah then indeed He will aid us at all times in all situations and it is our sins hence has lead to our failures and is delaying Allah's response to our supplication. O Allah forgive us and guide us to Your obedience ameen.
# 5: and also benefit about manners of going to going to toilet
# 6: and YES, how to cure magic spell. i loved this section very much. You see our Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam when he was afflicted with magic, he did what? He supplicated to Allah as Aysha radi Allahu anha said, he did this three times at night, [of course with sincere faith and strong trust in Allah] and guess what Allah responded to His supplication and cured His illness of magic spell.
# 7: also this reminds me of the benefit that when the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam used to ask Allah for something and make dua to Allah, he would do it three times.
and curing magic by going to people who would take help of jinn to cure this magic is not allowed.
there are so many benefits in this book along. Alhamdulillah. I cannot list all but i loved some very much as they benefited me right at the point when i read and met my need of the time alhamdulillah.
Alhamdulillah for Blessing me with this beneficial knowledge and may Allah bless me with righteous actions upon it. ameen.

Although the main Miracle given to our Prophet (S) was the Noble Qur'Gn, Allah supported him with many other Miracles also. Out of these many Miracles, a few of them are presented in this book to enlighten our youth about those Miracles.
Publisher's Note
All praises are due to Allah, the Lord of all that exists. May Allah's peace and blessings be upon His final Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad, his family and his Companions.
Darussalam is pleased to present this book, to the Muslim youth. The purpose of this book is to enlighten our youth about the Miracles of the Prophet (S).
Allah supported his Messengers with the Miracles to help them in times of distress, to prove the truth of the Messages that they were sent with, and to prevent liars and false claimers of Prophet hood.
Although the main Miracle given to our Prophet (S) was the Noble Qur'an, but Allah supported him with many other Miracles also. Out of these many Miracles, we are presenting a few of them in this book.
From this book we have started a new feature of providing the meanings of the difficult words. The underlined words are those which have their meanings in the Vocabulary given at the end.
We at Darussalam realize the importance of good Islamic literature for Muslim children, especially in the West where non-Islamic influences are so strong. For this reason, we feel that the availability of this book will be a valuable aid in instilling a genuine love for Islam and the Prophet (S) in our children.

Miracles Of The Messenger
Chapter 1: The Splitting of the Moon
http://dar-us-salam.com/books/179-MiraclesOfTheMessenger.htm
When the pagans despaired of tempting the Prophet (S) to turn away from his preaching or to leave them and their gods alone and to cease _denouncing them, they gathered together and consulted one another regarding their situation. Then they tried another approach, which was to try to prove the weakness of the Prophet (S) ; by asking him to produce Miracles, so they went to him, saying to him in a quarrelsome and argumentative manner: "Oh, Muhammad! If you are truthful, then show us a Sign from you." Then they defined the Sign, saying: "Split the moon for us into two parts." Allah, the Most High said:
"The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder."
This took place before the emigration (Hijrah) of the Prophet (S) to Al-Madinah, on a moonlit night in the middle of the month. The world had become accustomed to not paying any attention to the moon, which proceeded calmly across the heaven, to take its place in the center of the sky, after it had risen and completed its course and it appeared in the sky in full, illuminating the land.
"Blessed is He (Allah) Who has placed in the heaven big stars, and has placed therein a great lamp (sun) and a moon giving light. "
In Mina, near the blessed Mount Hira', which loomed in the light of the moon, a large number of people had gathered in expectation wait, fear and silence, craning their necks towards the far horizon, their eyes fixed upon the moon. The Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (S) stopped and with him were few people who believed in his Message and were convinced of the truth of it. They stood between a large number who had belied him and were determined not to believe him, even if the moon fell over their heads.
And from the Owner of all things, Who is Able to do all things, issued the command to the moon (to split) and the moon obeyed willingly and began to split, whispering: "I respond to Your Call, my Lord! I respond to Your Call, oh, Owner of the command!" And slowly, it began to split, little by little, its two sides parted.
'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (R) said: "I saw the mountain from the opening in the moon when it split." The moon split in order to show the falseness of the claims of those who accused Muhammad (S) regarding it: 'Look oh, you who refused to allow him to convey the Message of his Lord look at the moon and look carefully at it!'
Why did Allah give the Miracle?
Allah favored Muhammad (S) with this Miracle to testify the truth of his Message, and to confirm as an evidence for the hearts polluted with polytheism, that happly, they might become purified and return to the natural and proper state in which they were created, ringing and shouting out the message: "He is the Prophet! It is no lie; he is the son of 'Abdul Muttalib." And it brought conviction to the doubting hearts, confirming for them the truth of his Message. It also increased the believing hearts in steadfastness, in order to increase their faith. And it confirmed the truth of the preaching of Muhammad (S) . And it confirmed the Words of Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Powerful:
"We will show them Our Signs in the universe, and in their own selves, until it becomes manif est to them that this (the Qur'an) is the truth. Is it not sufficient in regard to your Lord that He is a Witness over all things?"
The Result
As the Honest One (S) raised his hand towards the moon, before they could say anything, he exclaimed with a firm tongue and a pure heart: "Witness (oh, people), witness Witness, oh Abu Bakr!"
The eyes of the believers were firmly fixed on the two halves of the moon, seeking from them peace and steadfastness, their eyes bathed in tears, as if they were being washed in order to sharpen their sight and to enjoy the picture of the moon.
The eyes of the other group (i.e., the disbelievers) showed their bewilderment, completely overwhelmed by the Miracle they had witnessed.
Their gaze was quickly lowered to the ground and then even more quickly raised to the moon, desiring to deny it. Then they would rub their eyes and return their gaze and saw that the moon was in two halves. They wished that they could find a way to challenge what they saw, or a refuge or an escape, but they could not.
Then while they were still reeling under the shock of what they had seen, they began to have doubts while in their state of wakefulness and to imagine that what they were seeing was no more than a confused dream.
So, did the moon indeed split?
Yes it is an established fact.
It was to be expected that this Miracle would wake them from their permanent slumber and stop their injustice and stubbornness and convince them that it was through the Will and Power of Allah.
But how could they do so, when they were in fear of the result of this conclusion; and they would have to reconsider their actions. If they accepted Allah's Will in the matter, they would have to believe in the preaching of Muhammad and this was something they did not wish to do.
What would happen if the echoes of this Miracle were to spread throughout Makkah and the neighboring towns?
The reins of power would slip from their hands and this they did not desire.
So, they turned away from the truth and persisted in their injustice and misguidance; cunning came to their aid and they left, shouting, in order that the effects of this Miracle and its reverberations might be concealed. They shouted: "Muhammad has bewitched us! Muhammad has bewitched us!"
Glorified is Allah!! Why all this stubbornness?
It was as if they created this resistance and opposition in order to confirm their defeat and their persistence in falsehood, for if they had been logical and fair, their consciences would have been disturbed a great and definitive change would have occurred in their lives.
Everlasting Ignominy and Shame for the Pagans
There was no doubt that Allah would confirm the matter and it is strange that they should consider a rational thing, in order to disprove that the moon had been split. They said: "See what news the travelers bring, for Muhammad cannot bewitch all of the people." And they spoke the truth, for magic is deluding people into believing something which is not true, and the work of a magician is to delude the eyes and to deceive them so that the one who is bewitched sees things which are unreal. But the magician cannot bewitch all of the people, especially when they are in different places.
Therefore, the true verdict on the incident would be brought by the travelers.
The travelers came to them from every direction, and they hastened to them, as if they were hoping to hear from them a denial and rejection of what they had seen.
The travelers then confirmed to them that the incident had indeed taken place, for they had seen the moon split into two.
And just as the Miracle had jolted their eyes, so the reply of the travelers jolted their ears.
But would they embrace their evidence and show their acceptance of it? No, by Allah!
And Allah, the Most High has spoken Words which are neither too short nor too long in description of the response of those people; He, the Most High said:
"Say : 'Behold all that is in the heavens and the earth,' but neither Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) nor warners benefit those who believe not."
History has recorded this dazzling Miracle and it has recorded along with it the everlasting ignominy and shame of the pagans.
The Word that separates Truth from Falsehood
Allah, Exalted is His mention has sent down Words in the Revelation which are clear and conclusive:
"The Hour has drawn near and the moon has been cleft asunder. And if they see a sign, they turn away and say: 'This is continuous magic.' They belied (the Signs of Allah) and followed their own lusts and every matter will be settled. And indeed there has come to them news to check (them). (It is) Perfect Wisdom, but the warners benefit them not."
And in order to complete the benefit derived from this incident, come, let us explore well the physical characteristics of the moon (discussed in the next section not online):
- Its surface and the distance between it and the earth.
- The landing of man on its surface and life on it. - Why does a person who ascends feel that he is suffocating?
- What is the benefit of the atmosphere and what is the atmosphere like on the moon?
- The continuous night and day thereon.
- How does the moon give off light and why does its shape change? And how does the earth appear from the surface of the moon?
- Why does the lunar eclipse occur?
- How is the moon a measure of time?

=> http://salafiaduios.multiply.com/music/item/716/Ar_-_Himmatus_Salaf_Fi_Talab_al-ilm_The_great_determination_of_the_salaf_in_seeking_knowledge
Now some notes from two lectures:
# 1: Fruits of knowledge
Knowledge is of three types:
----> # 1: Tawheed: it is the best knowledge to knowledge, it is about Allah, His Names and Attributes. this knowledge rectifies the heart and aqeedah, and the relationship between Allah and the slave and leads the heart to have ikhlas. the place of ikhlas is the heart, which if it is correct rest of the body is correct. The actions comes after having this knowledge.
-------> # 2: knowledge of halal and haram
there are two types of fiqh
# 1: fiqhul Akbar that is tawheed (includes aqeedah and its related matters)
# 2: fiqhul Asgar that is about halal and haram and about how to acts of worship as salah, hajj, trades etc
those people with most knowledge of halal and haram are most in seeking forgiveness of Allah and our Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam used to seek forgiveness a lot.
-------> # 3: knowledge about the Yawmul Qiyamah, the day of judgment/standing that is about judgment, punishment, rewards
the knowledge that is most in the Quraan is: Tawheed then -> the knowledge of Yawmul Qiyamah and then -> halal and haram (fiqh) because this order of knowledge rectifies the slave
The scholars are conveyor of knowledge and giver of glad tiding, they are the inheritors of the Prophets, they explain the truth, tawheed, fiqh, akhirah and what Allah and Rasul sallallahu alayhe wa sallam ordered.
the knowledge benefits the slave in the matters of the duniyah and akhirah.
From the Fruits of Knowledge are:the knowledge benefits the one who seeks it and those other than him
# 1: khasyah of Allah [fear of Allah]: Emaan increase and decrease and what causes the emaan to increase is the knowledge, reality of khasyah is fear of Allah; all knowledge is khasiyah.
Salaf said they sought knowledge and they did not have intention but knowledge guided them to have intention
# 2: leads to have ikhlas: makes on sincere, knowledge guides to ikhlas, tawheed guides to ikhlas in all affairs, all actions, ikhlas is one of the condition for the acceptance of deed.
For example: serving old parents, why do you serve them? is it seeking pleasure of Allah or out of respect for them. one must have ikhlas in all affairs.
what is ikhlas in seeking knowledge? it is to remove ignorance from oneself and others.
One of the best benefit that is attained from seeking knowledge is that it guides one to have ikhlas
# 2: Guides to righteous actions. one must act according to the knowledge gained, and do good deeds, those who do not act according to what they have learned enters in the saying of Allah, "you enjoin good and you forget yourself"
Salaf said, knowledge calls for actions, if not responded to it, then knowledge leaves the person.
Knowledge calls for fear of Allah and righteous actions. Acting according to knowledge makes the knowledge firm in the heart and also makes on strong in Emaan. if you want knowledge then act by it.
Knowledge:
# 1: rectifies the heart with actions of heart as ikhlas, tawakkul, inabah, khasyah, good thoughts, humbleness etc
# 2: guides to actions of the limbs as doing acts of obedience and leaving disobedience
# 3: makes one righteous as carrying out rights of Allah, and His slaves, doing acts that are fard and also sunnah and giving all the rights of others [slaves of Allah]
Rights of Allah: tawheed, knowing Allah, learning about shirk [to leave it off], Rights of Slave: knowing haram and halal and enjoining good and forbidding evil, jihad etc.
# 4: following the people of knowledge as keeping close to the people of sunnah, away from people of bid'ah, and studying their biography and following them, being away from them and leaving them is from the non-beneficial knowledge signs.
# 5: hurrying to Allah as hastening in doing good deeds in sayings and actions
# 6: Makes humble without pride as not showing pride about lineage or better than so and so but fear Allah and cooperate
# 7: Good manners and attributes as having good manners with all and having a good tongue that mentions nothing but good and clean heart, good adab at home and outside.
# 2: Need to Seek knowledge
This note was at the end of the tape, answer to a Question that is asking to know the means to seek knowledge
The Answer was: the means to seeking knowledge are:
# 1: Having fear of Allah as Allah said whoever fears Him, He will give him furqan, all Quraan is furqan and all deen of Islam is furqan and fear of Allah is to obey Him in what He ordered and to leave off what He forbade
# 2: Memorizing Quraan and hadith: fiqh - understanding increases with the memorization and memorization comes before understanding, just understanding without memorization then it leaves you
# 3: Follow the way of the salaf in seeking knowledge, how they sought knowledge, seek it like them. learn little by little, as salaf said, whoever learns all at once, then knowledge leaves him all at once
take one benefit of tawheed and fiqh a day and study it really well and know it well and by the end of the year you have 365 benefit that you are firm at
# 4: learn and act by what you have learned, teaching and acting upon knowledge makes the knowledge firm in you and benefit those around you, your family members, friends etc, and explain to them what you have learned.
# 5: Making dua to Allah to grant you fiqh of the deen and making the dua at the times when dua is more likely to be answered.

Another question was about how to be safe from fitan, shaykh mentions the aya where Allah said, "whoever strives in Allah's cause, Allah will aid him" and greatest form of jihad is to seek knowledge and knowledge is what will save you from fitan.
==
in response to another question shaykh said, the complete hidayah is found with the people of knowledge
==
another question was about leaving teaching ilm to children while raising them!?! shaykh said knowledge should be there in raising children and mentioned the hadith of ibn Abbas where Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam taught him some important matters while he was a child, O boy, if you ask then Ask Allah, etc. But Shaykh said that knowledge should be given to the children based on their level.
==
another question was about memorizing Quraan before seeking knowledge, shaykh said that is how salaf did it and that is how to be done but if one has more time to attend lessons and memorize Quraan then that could be done and Shaykh said memorizing Quraan is the knowledge
this question was transcribed by a brother here: http://akthernasrin.multiply.com/journal/item/1993

Shaykh often seems to advice to read the book of "Miftahu Dar as-Sa'3dah" of Ibnul Qayyem to gain knowledge about Allah. I heard it few times by now in few tapes i believe.
Shaykh also advise to go over these books in this order, to learn about tawheed and shirk:
# 1 book: Kitab at tawheed then # 2 book: khasfus subuhat
Shaykh said one if able should study under a shaykh these books, if not able then listen to the tapes of these books - dars given by the mashaykh
and also to learn about aqeedah and emaan shaykh advised these books in this order:
# 1: Lu3matul I3tiqad
# 2: al-wasitiyah
# 3: hamawiyah
# 4: Tahawiyah
and advise was as before, study with a shaykh, if not then their given dars audio of these books.
Shaykh advised about seeking knowledge, acting on it and then teaching it a lot. Alhamdulillah.
May Allah Grant us beneficial knowledge and righteous actions ameen.

Pillars of Islam and Iman - And what every Muslim must know about his religion | for everyone |
Category: | Books |
Genre: | Religion & Spirituality |
Author: | Shaykh Muhammad bin Jamil Zino |
This is one of the best BOOK on the Basics of Islam that which a muslim need on daily basis. Alhamdulillah. it has more information in terms of what a Muslim need daily compared to the book of shaykh ibn bazz "important lessons for the Ummah" but it has some materials not found in the Book of Shaykh Zino.
Therefore, combination of both books brings about GREAT benefit for each Muslim in learning what is needed to know on the basics of Islam. Alhamdulillah.
I bought this book in the year of 2005 on the Eidul Fitr. I knew i just had $40 dollars and i checked online for this set: The Islamic Library (7 Books) and it was around $40 to $50 dollars or something like that. and i called the store at atlantic avenue and i kept asking them to reduce the price to $40 dollars and alhamdulillah they did. then i went to pick up the set for myself. This is the first set of authentic islamic books i believe i bought and i really wanted to buy as well. it was easy for me to buy books since the store was on my way to college so i would just stop by the place and buy books as i could afford and needed, didn't need to ask anyone else from my family to do it. Alhamdulillah.
and today it is 2010, after five years later, Allah has given me tawpiq to finish reading this book in full, not even full subhan Allah as i left of reading the section of riba and some parts of hajj. i read some parts long ago and after looking through the book and what it contained of benefit, i always did my best to buy this book as gift for people and i strongly recommend if you want to give someone a gift that is beneficial, then buy this book. excellent book. alhamdulillah. but the original copy that i bought with the set was long gone, i gave out to someone i don't even remember. after that i bought the copy again and it was gone again and then bought again then it was gone again..., alhamdulillah. So finally got a copy that is with me still. it is like i have to keep more than one copy of this book so i can give away a copy when i see the need.
the book online is $7.95 but at the store, i bought for $9 dollars. alhamdulillah. i bought this copy with my new Mushaf last time i went to dar-us-salam store @ atlantic ave.
i really liked the book and learned many things alhamdulillah. the books of our noble shaykh - may Allah grant him jannah and make his grave specious for him and open for him a gate to jannah and give him bedding and clothing from jannah ameen - are really simple and short and concise. His style is very clear, he makes a point, brings forth proof from Quraan and Sunnah. Alhamdulillah and this book is in the like manner.
what i liked most about the book was that in the section of manners, he actually gave you brief bio of our Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam and in the hajj, he gave like brief hajj history of our Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, reading these sections really touched my heart a lot, moved me to tears. alhamdulillah.
Now let me share something nice i learned from the book:
=============================================
* over the ramadan or summer program in the masjid, a sister mentioned throwing out [vomiting] breaks one's wudhu, i never read this in the books i read so i kept quiet but kept searching for it. So, when i finally came to read this book and was reading the wudhu section, Alhamdulillah Found My Answer.
Thus let me share with you what does not break wudhu section: [daleel in the book]
1. touching woman with skin to skin
2. the flow of blood from anywhere other than the vagina, whether because of a wound or cupping or nosebleed. Hasan radi Allahu anhu said, "the Muslims used to keep on praying while wounded". [Bukhar]
3. Vomit, whether enough to fill the mouth or less
4. being doubtful regarding excretion - of stool, urine, gas etc.., from private parts - after performing wudhu. This uncertainty does not require consideration whether one is in salat or outside it, since certain knowledge cannot be superseded by uncertainty. In contrast, if he is sure of excretion, and he doubts whether he performed wudhu or not after it, his wudhu would not be treated as established.
5. laughing aloud while in salat does not invalidate wudhu. there is a weak hadith which states that it does invalidate wudhu, but a weak hadith cannot be used to establish a point of law.
6. to give a bath to a dead person does not require one to perform wudhu afterwards. there is some evidence which caused some scholars to rule that it does, but when all the evidence on the issue is considered, the result is that wudhu is recommended but not required.
============================================
Shaykh Zino really mentions nice refutation of Sufis in his books, alhamdulillah. he mentioned some in this book too. he mentioned some on "shrines" where people donate so much money. one story he mentioned was that 2 poor man killed a donkey and then put up a shrines to earn money as they saw people give money to shrines but not to poor people when they asked for money. at the end, they got into argument and got beaten up badly.
Shaykh mentions 2 lines of poetry goes like:
"Our living don't even get a dirham [a coin of silver]
while thousands and thousands go to the dead."
that's so true. shaykh mentions another one where people set up a shrines to earn money while there was no dead in it at all. Subhan Allah.
and this is being done in bangladesh and other countries a great deal, poor people are fooled by such shrines and they go from far places to donate money to seek blessings. Allahul Musta'an. Alhamdulillah.
=========================================
Someone asked even after reading the title of the book, does this book contain information on fasting and hajj etc? So in case you do not know what does it means "pillars of Islam and Eman" then HERE:
Pillars of Islam are FIVE and they are:
1. laa ilaha illa Allah wa muhammad rasul Allah - none has the right to be worshiped except Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah
2. as-salah - the prayer
3. az-zakah - the obligatory charity
4. sawmu ramadan - fasting the month of ramadan
5. Hajjul bayt - Hajj to the House of Allah
Pillars of Emaan are SIX:
1. belief in Allah
2. His Angels
3. His Books
4. His Messengers
5. The Last day
6. belief in pre-decree - its good and its bad
[Hadith of Muslim - Hadith of Jibreel as citation for this info]
I strongly recommend every Muslims to buy this book and study it, including myself, i need to read it and study it many times to learn and benefit a great deal from it. may Allah grant me tawpiq. Ameen.

the book online is $7.95 but at the store, i bought for $9 dollars. alhamdulillah. i bought this copy with my new Mushaf last time i went to dar-us-salam store @ atlantic ave.
i really liked the book and learned many things alhamdulillah. the books of our noble shaykh - may Allah grant him jannah and make his grave specious for him and open for him a gate to jannah and give him bedding and clothing from jannah ameen - are really simple and short and concise.
=============================================
============================================
=========================================
Ameen.

Alhamdulillah, after so many years later of buying this book, i finally read it alhamdulillah. I don't even remember when i bought it but i know it goes back over 3 years at least. MaashaaAllah. Alhamdulillah.
I really liked the book and i really liked the simplicity of the book. I think reading its Arabic version would have clarify some English translation better. There are some points i found to be very beneficial reminder to me so i took those out and wants to share with you here in my review.
The book is found online as PDF so kindly look into the book to verify how they should be understood and which section each point fall into inshaaAllah - This is IMPORTANT very much. alhamdulillah.
***NOTE: i think there is a missing of a point in the PDF [at least] as it is off by a point toward the later half of the book. So i would say it is better that you buy the book and benefit from it. InshaaAllah.
Even if you have the Bigger version of this book, but this abridge version is nothing like the bigger version of it, and it has more extra information that you do not find in the bigger version just as the bigger version info. you don't really find in this one [a lot of it i mean].
So these are some points of benefit i found:
(2) The obligation to face the direction of the Ka'bah is removed from a warrior having to pray the Fear Prayer and during severe fighting. It is also removed from one who is rendered incapable of it, such as one who is (very) ill, or one who is upon a ship, car or airplane and who fears that the Prayer time will reach its end. It is also removed from one, who prays optional Prayer or the Witr Prayer upon a riding beast or vehicle. It is, however, preferable for him, if he is able, to turn it towards the Qiblah for the initial takbeer. After that it does not matter in which direction it turns.
(7) It is not permissible for the person praying sitting to place something raised upon the ground to prostrate upon. Rather he should only make the movement for his prostration lower than that for his bowing, as we have already mentioned, this is what he does if he is unable to directly place his head upon the ground.
(10) In the case of old age or bodily weakness, it is allowed for him during the standing to support himself against a pillar or with a stick.
(11) It is permissible to pray the voluntary Prayer during the night standing or even sitting without an excuse, and he can combine both of these. So he may pray and recite whilst sitting, and then shortly before the rukoo' he may stand and recite the few aayahs that remain for him whilst standing. Then he bows and prostrates, and then he does the same in the second rak'ah.
(12) If he prays sitting, he sits with his legs crossed, or in any manner of sitting that is comfortable for him.
(15) If he does remove his shoes then he should not place them on his right-hand side, rather he should place them to his left as long as there is nobody praying to his left. Otherwise he should place them between his feet2. This order is authentically reported from the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam.
(20) It is obligatory that the height of the sutrah above the ground be at least a span or two spans, due to his saying, “If one of you places in front of him the like of the back-part of a camel-saddle5, then let him pray and not care about what passes beyond that.”
(21) The person praying faces the sutrah directly. This is what is apparent from the command to pray towards the sutrah. As for the matter of moving slightly to the right or the left, so that he does not stand directly in line with it, then this is not authentically established.
(22) It is permissible to pray towards a staff stuck into the ground or its like, or towards a tree, or a pillar, or towards his wife who is lying upon the bed beneath the blanket, or towards his riding beast, even if it is a camel.
(24) It is not allowed to pass directly in front of a person who is praying if he has a sutrah in front of him. There is no difference in this between al-Masjidul-Haraam and other mosques. The forbiddance applies equally to all of them, due to the generality of his ! saying, “If the one who passes directly in front of a person knew the (sin) that was upon him, then he would rather stand and wait for forty than pass in front of him." Meaning, passing in between him and the place of his sutrah.6
(25) It is not allowed for a person praying towards a sutrah to allow anyone to pass in front of him, due to the previous hadeeth, “... and do not let anyone walk in front of him ...” and his ! saying, “If one of you prays towards something that screens him from the people, and someone wants to pass in front of him, then let him repel him by pushing him on the chest, and let him repel him as much as he can ... [and in a narration ... then let him fight him, for he is a devil].”
(27) From the importance of the sutrah in Prayer is that it prevents the person's Prayer being nullified by the passing of that which will disrupt it. Contrary to the one who prays without a sutrah, since his Prayer will be nullified if an adult woman, or likewise a donkey, or a black dog passes in front of him.
(30) He should not raise his voice in saying the takbeer in any of the Prayers, unless he is an Imaam (leading others in prayer).
(45) Then he should begin by reciting one of the supplications established from the Prophet !, and they are many. The most well- known is:
Subhaanak-Allaahumma, wa biham-dika, wa tabaarakasmuka, wa ta'aalaa jadduka, wa laa ilaaha ghayruka
I declare You free and far removed from all imperfections, O Allaah, and all praise is for You. Blessed is Your Name. Great and Exalted is Your Kingdom. None has the right to be worshipped besides You.
The command for this is established, so one should be careful to do it.11
(46) Then he must seek refuge with Allaah, the Most High, and it is an obligation, he will be sinful if he leaves it.
(49) Then he should say quietly, in both loud and silent Prayers: Bismillaahir-Rahmaanir-Raheem - In the Name of Allaah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower o f Mercy.
(51) But one who is still unable to recite it, then it is sufficient for him to say:
Subhaan-Allaah, wal-hamdulillaah, wa laa ilaaha illallaah, wallaahu Akbar, wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah
I declare Allaah free and far removed from all imperfections, and all praise is for Allaah, and Allaah is greater and no power except by the Will of Allah
(53) It is permissible to recite either “Maaliki” ... Owner of the Day of Recompense, or “Maliki” ... King of the Day of Recompense.
(54) It is obligatory that the one praying behind an imaam also recites it in quiet Prayers. He should also recite it in loud Prayers if he cannot hear an imaam reciting, or if it happens that the imaam remains silent after his own recitation in order to enable the follower to recite it. However, it is our view that this period of silence is not established from the Sunnah.13
(82) He should raise his hands when he rises up, in the manner that has preceded (point nos. 33, 34 and 35).
(131) However it is not allowed to sit upon the two heels for this sitting. [@ first tashahud]
(134) It it is not allowed for him to sit whilst resting upon his hand, especially the left hand. [@ first tashahud]
(147) Then he says: Allaahu Akbar - Allaah is Greater. and this is an obligation. The Sunnah is that he says it whilst he is
sitting.
(162) As for the invocation (qunoot) for the Witr Prayer, then it is prescribed to say it occasionally.
(163) It should be said before the rukoo', contrary to the invocation at the time of a calamity.
(171) He should lean heavily upon his left knee with his palm, supporting himself in that manner. [@ FINAL TASHAHHUD SITTING]

Lessons and Benefits from the Marital Life of the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) | for everyone |
Category: | Books |
Genre: | Religion & Spirituality |
Author: | Dr. Khaalid Ibn ‘Abdur-Rahmaan ash-Shaay |
Alhamdulillah i finished the book before the Zuhr Salah, spent like 3:45min in 3 sitting to finish the book. This is the book i bought on Friday @ Dar-us-salam and heard the lecture of "salafi dawa'ah being expensive".
alhamdulillah, the print of the book is excellent and its organization and style as well. Very pretty book to have at hand. No wander, why its price is $10 dollars. MaashaaAllah. The pages are just 68 and from that you have **Blank** pages in between the chapters and at the end and there is some words list of 2 pages at the end and of course the text is spread in way to take more space.
Overall, it is a very short book that looks pretty and the knowledge it contains is alhamdulillah is GREAT. The topic is one that catches attention so no matter how much it cost, one who wants to know what is inside will BUY it. Alhamdulillah.
There are 15 hadith in the book and each hadith has several benefits added to it, and the points are great. alhamdulillah. and there are some footnotes too that were added to clarify few points of importance.
I would like to share two points with you all from the book that i liked very much. alhamdulillah.
1 - "The wife should make the utmost effort to earn the love of her husband by treating him in a kind and respectful manner. For indeed it is the woman who is truly loved who gives meaning to a man's life. She gives him joy from her emotions just as she gives him birth from her womb. Verily it is only a woman who can bring about a truly warm environment for her husband. For there are some women who can make the home a beautiful, effervescent garden even though the house may be barren and times might be difficult. Whereas on the other hand, some women can make the home feel like an arid, windy desert even though it may be filled with all their needs and wants. and then there are some women who make the home like a graveyard."
2 - This hadith (#9) is a clear evidence of the prohibition of taking pictures or keeping them. Rather they should be erased or destroyed and the only exception to this that which is done out of necessity. As for the custom of some people whereby they hang pictures on their walls or in their rooms, then this is haram based on the statement of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, "verily the people who make these pictures would be punished."
and this is in addition to the fact that from the negative repercussions of pictures is that the angels do not enter a house in which there are pictures. Consequently, one realizes that the prevalence of pictures of beings with souls on people's clothing, especially that of children, is something that must be corrected. As for if the picture is in a lowly place such as one that is on the ground and is used as a floor mat, then this is something that is OK, because it is treated in an abase manner, for in one of the narrations of this hadith, it states that Jibreel came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam and said, "Go and make two pillows out of the curtain that will be thrown on the floor and stepped on..." (albanee graded this hadith as saheeh)
3 - [Bonus] - "the fact that arguments occur between spouses should not seem strange, however they both must hasten to solve their problem(s) even if it means one of them compromising for the other. This is why one finds that when marital problems which were initiated by his wives - may Allah be pleased with them - occurred in the homes of the prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam, because of his outstanding character, he was properly equipped to solve them; and this is how men should be."
Two good footnotes were on the topic of - evil eye and how to protect ones' self from it, and another on - about husband turning his back on his wife on the same bed they sleep on as a punishment for her improper behaviors while he should still talk to her.
I like the book alhamdulillah.

This is one of the book that i bought in my 2nd to last order with the other book on Ramadan that is by shaykh muhammad ibn abdul wahhab alwasabee. As Ramadan was coming, i wanted to buy books that i could read to motivate me to increase in good inshaaAllah.
I did not get to touch this book until today after Magrib as i was trying to put some of my books in order and found this book. Alhamdulillah knowing that it is the last days of the Ramadan, i first read a chapter in the beginning of the book that was encouraging us to increase in obedience to Allah.
Shaykh fawzan, may Allah preserve him for the benefit of Islam and Muslim gave such a short yet so intensive talk that was enough to motivate us to increase in obedience to Allah. alhamdulillah. Shaykh started by encouraging us to take advantage of Ramadan then he mentions how people busy them selves with eating and drinking and buying and selling and wasting days in sleep and staying up nights and missing the obligatory salahs. People busy them selves in eating iftar such that they don't even make the magrib salah in jama'ah.
in this chapter shaykh said that it is known that too much of eating and drinking makes one lazy in obedience [to Allah].
and then i read 3 chapters i think at the end of the book where shaykh mentions the virtues of laylatul Qadr and the last 10 days or Ramadan and what we should do toward the end of the Ramadan.
I really felt so much motivated after reading these chapters. may Allah reward our shaykh and preserve him. ameen. He encourages us to take advantage of the last days of Ramadan and this night that is better than 1000 months and that it is a life time opportunity. just by staying one night we get 1000 months reward that is spent in obeying Allah. alhamdulillah.
and shaykh tells us to take advantage before the days are over and to ask Allah to forgive us for our sins. and many more advices our shaykh gives us in these short chapters.
the chapters are really short maashaaAllah and the Arabic is easy. Alhamdulillah. may Allah benefit me and all of us. and the days of Ramadan are almost over.
Alhamdulillah for the countless blessings of Allah, from that is that HE gave me the tawpiq to buy this book. alhamdulillah. may Allah benefit me. ameen.
there are still 3 copies of this book, if you like buy it: http://www.rimarket.net/product-p/fq0062s.htm

I bought this book on July middle i think, i saw it some time ago while i was looking through. I really wanted to buy it because it was a short book something that one of us could study many times and memorize. That was the main intention to memorize the rulings of ramadan from a short ramadan book.
I thought this would be one of the good book for it. Alhamdulillah it is. Very summarized book on the rules and regulations and manners and things we should do, should not do, things that are recommended, wajib, sunnah etc.
you can buy it from here: http://www.rimarket.net/product-p/fq0074s.htm
they still have six more copies. Alhamdulillah.
I wanted to finish the book and put a review of it very much as well. I finished it day before yesterday i believe.
What i can share from the book with you...
i could do more but inshaaAllah i will suffice with this. Translating takes time... InshaaAllah in future... not now.
there is one thing i needed evidence for, i.e. speech of a scholar before i said anything was about saying one is hungry and complaining about the hardship etc to the people while fasting, this is one of the thing that is disliked. i was alhamdulillah happy to find it listed in this book.
I could share with you the index of this book: [perhaps some of you will find it good and buy and benefit and memorize the book inshaaAllah].

Alhamdulillah it was an amazing book, it is a gift for someone but i needed to finish to see what is given as gift, and also as i may not buy it for myself (still thinking if i should buy or not) i wanted to finish reading so as to benefit as much as Allah wills.
it was a beautiful book. i totally recommend to every brothers before every sisters, because subhan allah you could see how kind our prophet sallallahu alayhe wa sallam was to his wife and how much he loved her, and you could feel it. and then you could see how his noble beloved wife was to him, mash-Allah.
and may Allah guide us and give us tawpiq to follow her example, in her manners, and knowledge and worship of Allah, her humility, and humbleness. Allahu Akbar.
I hope Allah guides me and benefits me from i have learned and read from this book.
i will include one narration or 2 from the book that we can all benefit from:
“indeed people are forgetful of one of the best and greatest act of worship: humility and humbleness”
and
“glad tiding for the person who has in his book of recording of deeds, a lot of istighfaar (seeking forgiveness)”
- don’t you think these 2 narrations of her are enough to suffice our life with. May Allah guide me. ameen.

i bought from dar-us-salam store brooklyn, the shipping i think was bad, almost all books had damage on them, i tried best to find nice copy. i hope i did.
insha-allah…

Did You Forget that you are in Madinah..? | for everyone |

BIsmillah ir rahman ir raheem
few days ago, someone told me some so called shaykh was saying that Islamic University of Madinah is nothing and that some university in South Africa is something, it bothered me so much and i don't stay quiet but i replied right back.
Even after that i could not help but wander HOW CAN ANYONE ever say such a thing, it is the Madinah, the place from which Islam first spread out and the place to which Islam will return to, and i was recalling this hadith again as i was doing some task at noon today. I think before i went to do the task i was doing, i read this little Pamphlet's title but not fully but i just saw that it was about Madinah, so i was thinking of coming back from the task and finish reading it.
Alhamdulillah for the blessings of Allah that Allah has enabled me to learn this language Arabic and He made me enough fluent at it to be able read this lecture's pamphlet and benefit a great deal from it.
When i came back and read the title, i was very amazed with it, alhamdulillah, it says: Did You Forget that you are in Madinah..?
So i started reading it, and alhamdulillah shaykh started by saying that more than 20 years ago when he was a student at ISlamic University of Madinah, he heard this beautiful lecture and he was stating the same lecture of the students of the University as a reminder as it is a GREAT REMINDER that will increase them in good and guide them to be thankful to Allah.
Alhamdulillah, it is an amazing lecture, and it had such a great reminder for everyone who are in Madinah and to those students who are studying in Madinah, and in Madinah University, and those who seeks to go to Madinah University and it is also a reminder to those who either out of their hate and or ignorance utter what they utter.
Madinah, it is the city of Messenger of Allah, it is the place from which Islam spread out and it is the place to which Islam will return to, and this madinah has so many virtues that you can find in many authentic narrations and there are virtues of living in Madinah.
and shaykh reminded the students saying, this is his advice to them, that they reminder themselves saying, "Did You Forget that you are in Madinah..?" as it will help them focus on their study and increase them in good in many ways.
shaykh says to the students think about your friends who you grew up, where are they, what they are upon, etc and then shaykh said, Allah picked you from all those friends of your [and brought you to madinah] and Allah blessed you with this great blessing. so they should thank Allah for the blessings of Allah.
=
and this reminds me of the blessings of Allah upon me, where are my friends 10 years has gone, who knows where are those my dear friends of childhood that i grew up, i love them much and they loved me much, and there were people i knew in last few years - where are they?
Indeed despite all my shortcomings alhamdulillah Allah has blessed me with many blessings that i cannot count down.
May Allah make us rightly guided and rightly guiding and forgive us for our sins and shortcomings and make us thankful servants of His. Ameen.
I really loved this lectures. may Allah reward those who put it out online and shared it with us. ameen.

Ar. - The obligation of enjoining good and forbidding evil | for everyone |
Category: | Books |
Genre: | Religion & Spirituality |
Author: | Shaykh Abdul Azeez bin Bazz |
I bought this book with the last book, 10 advice on memorization, and Alhamdulilah i finished it last night. It wasn't that hard of a book to understand in whole alhamdulillah. there were some words here and there that i didn't know but it was ok.
this book was published in English by alhujjahpublication and you can buy it from there site for $5 dollars, Click here
and you can buy it from rimarket.net for $4 dollars and there are only 2 copies left Click here
I didn't want the english copy so i bought the arabic and it took me a while to buy it as well since the book was out of stock for a long time, alhamdulillah i was managed to get it recently. alhamdulillah.
here is little excerpt from alhujjahpublication from the book:
As for those who enjoin the good and forbid the evil for other purposes like showing off or to be heard or a worldly significance or for any other reasons or even to oppose the act of enjoining the good and perpetrating the evil then they are the filthiest of mankind and from the evilest who will face a severe consequence.
And in the two Saheeh [authentic collections of prophetic narrations] from Usaamah bin Zayd from the Prophet sallallahu alayhe wasallam that he said:
A man will be brought forward on the Day of Resurrection and thrown in the hellfire. The insides of his stomach will be hanging out. He will circle around the hellfire the same way that a donkey circles around the grain grinder. The people of the hellfire will gather around him and say, ?What has happened to you O such and such person? Did you not used to enjoin the good and forbid the evil?? And he will say to them, ?Certainly but I used to command you to enjoin the good but not do it myself and I would forbid the evil amongst you and fall into it myself.?
-=============- The book was very beneficial maashaaAllah. i liked one part of the book very much than other parts. Shaykh started the book pointing out the great status that this obligation has, "the commanding of the good and the forbidding of the evil".
Shaykh brought in verses of the Qur'an where Allah mentions this obligation even before the Emaan to show how important this obligation is. Like in this aya: You [true believers in Islâmic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad SAW and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc.)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden), and you believe in Allâh. (Aali Imran 3:110)
then shaykh mention why it is so important in this times of ours, because of the great corruption there is in the society and great numbers of callers to falsehood and little number of caller to good. Shaykh said that this obligation was carried out during the time of the prophet sallallahu alayhe wasallam and in the time of the sahabah and the salaf, and after them this obligation to be carried is even greater.
then shaykh mentions that this ummah is called best because they enjoin good and forbid evil.
shaykh then mentions that this obligation was present in the past nations as well and the origin of enjoining good is, tawheed of Allah and sincerity to Him and the origin of forbidding evil is shikr with Allah and worshiping other than Him.
then shaykh brings in ayah to show that Allah revoked the previous nations because they left off this obligation. like in these ayat: Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of Dawûd (David) and 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). That was because they disobeyed (Allâh and the Messengers) and were ever transgressing beyond bounds. (Al-Ma'idah 5:78) They used not to forbid one another from the Munkar (wrong, evildoing, sins, polytheism, disbelief, etc.) which they committed. Vile indeed was what they used to do. (Al-Ma'idah 5:79)
and shaykh also brought up this ayah: Not all of them are alike; a party of the people of the Scripture stand for the right, they recite the Verses of Allâh during the hours of the night, prostrating themselves in prayer. (Aali Imran 3:113) They believe in Allâh and the Last Day; they enjoin Al-Ma'rûf (Islâmic Monotheism, and following Prophet Muhammad SAW) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and opposing Prophet Muhammad SAW); and they hasten in (all) good works; and they are among the righteous. (Aali Imran 3:114) And whatever good they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allâh knows well those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - see V.2:2). (Aali Imran 3:115)
to show that Allah praised a party of the previous nation because they used to carry out this obligation of enjoining good and forbidding evil. this party were not touched by what touched the other party that has been cursed by their prophets alayhim as salam.
then shaykh brings other ayas to show its greatness and then shaykh mentions that carrying out this obligation brings about much good, and virtues and reduces the evil and leads to struggling for the sake of Allah and absence of carrying out this obligation leads to corruption and evil increases and caller to falsehood increases as is the case in every place.
The believers, men and women, are Auliyâ' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another, they enjoin (on the people) Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders one to do), and forbid (people) from Al-Munkar (i.e. polytheism and disbelief of all kinds, and all that Islâm has forbidden); they perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât) and give the Zakât, and obey Allâh and His Messenger. Allâh will have His Mercy on them. Surely Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Wise. (At-Tawbah 9:71)
after mentioning this aya shaykh mentions the mercy of Allah is obtained only by obeying Allah and His Rasul and not by lineage nor with wealth or businesses.
then shaykh says those who truly magnify Allah and truly fears him and truly hopes in Him are those who establishes His Commands, and follows His Shari'ah and those who struggles in His path and those who enjoin good and forbid evil. as Allah said, Verily, those who have believed, and those who have emigrated (for Allâh's Religion) and have striven hard in the Way of Allâh, all these hope for Allâh's Mercy. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful. (Al-Baqarah 2:218)
then shaykh says that Allah restricted success to those who enjoin good and forbid evil as Allah says, Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islâm), enjoining Al-Ma'rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful. (Aali Imran 3:104)
then shaykh shows the importance of acting on the good that one calls to and leaving the haram that one forbids and brings the hadith that is mentioned in the beginning to show the end of doing otherwise.
then shaykh says that the obligation on every muslim to call to good while acting on that good and forbidding evil while leaving that evil.
then shaykh mentions that it is an obligation upon this ummah to rush to this obligation and then shaykh brings ahadeeth that shows the levels of carrying out this obligation, i.e. the hadith where prophet sallallahu alayhe wasallam says, whoever sees evil let him forbid with his hand, if not then with his tongue, if not then with his heart and that is the weakest [state] of the emaan"
then shaykh goes on to explain each of the 3 levels, 1. by hand, 2. by tongue, and 3. by heart.
then shaykh says that one should be gentle in carrying out this obligation and brings in ahadeeth to show that our Prophet ordered us to be gentle and Allah loves gentleness in all matters.
And argue not with the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), unless it be in (a way) that is better (with good words and in good manner, inviting them to Islâmic Monotheism with His Verses), except with such of them as do wrong," (Al-'Ankabut 29:46)
shaykh brings up this ayah and says Allah has ordered us to call the people of the book with what is better, and they are the jews and christians, and they are kuffar except those who wronged as for them there is another way to treat them, and shaykh brings in ayah that says the reward of evil is evil like it.. but shaykh says still calling is established and should be with what is best as it is nearness to good.
then shaykh brings in the narration of sufyan ath.thawee where he said, it is necessary that the one who calls to good should be gentle in calling to good and should be gentle in forbidding evil and should be just in calling to good and forbidding evil and should be knowledgeable in calling to good and forbidding evil.
and then shaykh says the meaning of the salaf's saying is that the gentleness should be with knowledge, forbearance and insight [baseerah]. do not order nor forbid except with knowledge, not with ignorance, with that being gentle and acting on what is called to and leaving what is being forbidden until one is model for it.
then shaykh mentions under 3rd level [hating with heart] a narration from ibn masud where some people said to him, "i am destroyed if i do not enjoin good nor forbid evil", so ibn masud said to him, "you are destroyed if your heart doesn't know good and doesn't hate evil"
so shaykh says it is necessary to know good by learning the deen and understanding it, and necessary to know evil like that as well and after that carry out enjoining good and forbidding evil. then shaykh says learning the dene is from the sign of happiness and that Allah wants good for the person, as came in the hadith and shaykh mentions them as well.
then shaykh gives advice on seeking knowledge and reading and learning and memorizing and contemplating of the Qur'an, and then shaykh says that all students of knowledge should strive to memorize books like 40 hadith of annawawee and then ummdatul ahkam and then bolugh almaram and shaykh says this is great good and blessing from Allah if one could memorize the last two as well.
and then shaykh mentions the memorizing of kitab at tawheed and kashfus subuhat and also kitab alwasitiah and kitab aliman of imam muhammad ibn abdul wahhab and other beneficial books like these and shaykh mentions the focusing on the Qur'an and learning and acting and pondering of the Qur'an. and shaykh says with that one should review with the classmates and also ask the teachers and scholars those who are known for knowledge and to ask Allah for tawfeeq and help and not to be weak and not to be lazy and to preserve the time and to divide that into parts.
a part of the day and night for reciting the qur'an and pondering of it, and a part for seeking knowledge and understanding the deen and memorizing the mutun/texts and reviewing and the likes, and a part with the family for his needs, and a part for the salat [prayers], and worship and various duas and remembrances.
then shaykh says if we do not carry out this obligation of enjoining good and forbidding evil, then there will come a time when our dua will not be responded to and we will not be aided when we ask for it, and if we ask, we will not be given by Allah, and Allah will send us punishment as came in the ahadeeth.
then shaykh mentions how previous nations were also afflicted due to leaving this great obligation.
then shaykh says this obligation is fard 'ayn - mandatory on some people, and optional on others, if some does it, then obligation from others are lifted and is optional and if no one does then everyone sins for leaving it off.
then shaykh says in there is only one scholar in then country or tribe, then he should teach people and call them to good and enjoin good and forbid evil based on his ability as Allah said, fear Allah as much as you can. and whoever Allah gives success and suffices from the scholars and caller to these two obligation in enjoining good and forbidding evil then he Succeeded as Allah says, And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty). (At-Talaq 65:2) And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imagine. And whosoever puts his trust in Allâh, then He will suffice him. Verily, Allâh will accomplish his purpose. Indeed Allâh has set a measure for all things. (At-Talaq 65:3)
then shaykh mentions a ayah and surah asr and says the winners are the people of iman, and those who do good deeds and those who enjoin the truth and enjoin each others upon patience.
and he mentions little more on this matter and then ended the book with the dua.
Alhamdulillah. i hope whoever reads this review finds good in it and may Allah make us amongst those who follows the best of what they hear. ameen. may Allah guide us all and rectify our affairs and make us obedient to Him at all time and forgive us. ameen.
this book was published in English by alhujjahpublication and you can buy it from there site for $5 dollars, Click here
and you can buy it from rimarket.net for $4 dollars and there are only 2 copies left Click here
I didn't want the english copy so i bought the arabic and it took me a while to buy it as well since the book was out of stock for a long time, alhamdulillah i was managed to get it recently. alhamdulillah.
here is little excerpt from alhujjahpublication from the book:
