The last conversation Abdullah Ibn Zubair had with his mother Asma Bint Abu Bakr

When will the HELP of Allaah come?? (Part 4b)

... A Soldier of Allaah, my little warrior, my son...

This is the follow up to the earlier post about my son. Every time he leaves the house in the Path of Allaah, I take inspiration from the last conversation Abdullah Ibn Zubair رضي اللّه عنـه had with his dear mother Asma Bint Abu Bakr رضي الله عنها before he left for Jihâd..

‘He Abdullah Ibn Zubair رضي الله عنه went to his mother (Asma bint Abi Bakr رضي الله عنها), who was over 100 years old and was blind. When he entered the room, he gave her salams and she رضي الله عنها replied.
She then asked him, “Where did the men of al-Hajjaj reach?”

He رضي اللّه عنـه said, “O’ my mother in death, I will find peace and tranquility. O’ my mother! All my companions have left me until my own family and children have left my side and I only have a handful of people around me. And the people are ready to give me whatever I want form this Dunya. What is your opinion my mother?”

She رضي الله عنها said, “O’ my son! You are more knowledgeable regarding your circumstances than me. But I do say, if you know that you are on the truth, and then die like your companions and if you want the Dunya, then you are the most wretched of people because you have wasted yourself and your companions. And how long are you going to live in this Dunya?” Then she  continued, “If you say that you are on the truth, but when your companions left you, you became weak. This is not the action of the free man and the people of Deen! And how long are you going to live in this Dunya?”

He رضي اللّه عنـه said, “O’ my mother, I’m scared that if they kill me, then they will mutilate my body and they will hang me up.”

She رضي الله عنها said, “O’ my son! A slaughtered goat doesn’t feel the pain when it is skinned!”

And when she said this, he رضي اللّه عنـه stood up and kissed her upon her forehead and he said, “I swear by Allah, this is my opinion! I have no desire to live in this Dunya for my aspiration is the life of the hereafter and all my life I have stood up for truth but I wanted to know is your opinion so that your opinion strengthens my opinion!”

And then his motherرضي الله عنها  said, “Come closer my son!”
When رضي اللّه عنـه  he  came closer to her, she embraced him and when she did so, she felt that he had some metal armour on. And she رضي الله عنها said, “O’ my son! What is this? For people who want Shahaadah don’t wear this!”

He رضي اللّه عنـه said, “O’ my mother! I only did this to comfort you!”

She رضي الله عنها said, “My son, take it off.” Then she said, “O’ my son! Tie your belt so when you fall, your ‘awrah is not exposed! O’ My son! Fight with bravery for you are the son of Zubayr and the grandson of Abu Bakr and your grandmother was Safiyyah.”

Questioner: What is Your Excellency’s opinion about a person who is hasty in declaring someone to be an innovator or sinner by saying, “The most vile person on earth,” or, “The most harmful of the world,” about a man who is known to have a sound methodology and calls to it and also has blessed efforts in calling to Allaah, and then based upon that he makes it a requirement that whoever does not call him an innovator is boycotted and ostracised, and he turns differences between people into differences in themanhaj and then that results in division amongst the youth and sows enmity between them?
Al-’Abbaad: Statements such as these are clear mistakes, obvious mistakes, it is obligatory to have moderation and to be just[ly balanced] in all affairs and to be careful of the harm of the tongue and what is caused thereby whose ending is not something praiseworthy, and the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Whoever guarantees me [the chastity of] what is between his jaws and his legs, I guarantee him Paradise,” what is being referred to is the tongue and one’s private parts, likewise his saying صلى الله عليه وسلم in his counsel to Mu’aadh, “And are the people thrown on their faces [or he said, ‘on their nostrils’] into the fire for any reason other than the fruits of their tongues?” So it is obligatory for a person to guard his tongue and not to let it loose by talking about things which will harm him.
On top of that, the fact that a person makes a mistake and then, as is said in the question [he is subsequently referred to as being], ‘… more vile then such and such … more dangerous than such and such … more severe than such and such,’ this is also an increase in a person’s harming himself by bringing such exaggerations, by making statements which may not be correct and which are not sound and not in conformation with the reality [of the situation].
Furthermore, the anarchy, the evil suspicion brothers have of each other, the boycotting and so on that occurs because of those statements, all of these are things which are from the handiwork of the Devil, and are things which are from the plots he has for man to make him fall into destructive matters and those things which will result in him being harmed.
So a person must call himself to account and guard his tongue, the damage caused by it is something very dangerous and colossal, and it is from a person’s good fortune that he guards it from speaking about anything that comes back to harm him.
And that which some of the brothers from Ahlus-Sunnah do where they concern themselves with discrediting others and speaking about others and expending their efforts in that and leaving off the enemy, [leaving off] those who spread corruption in the land and do not rectify—these are things the Devil plots for a person to turn him away from that which he should [in reality] be doing, turning him away [from the good he should be doing] to that which he should [in fact] be protecting himself from.

A woman leading other women in congregational Salah

The second question of Fatwa no. 7328
Q 2: Is it permissible for a woman to lead another woman in Salah (Prayer)? If it is permissible, where should the Ma'mum (a person being led by an Imam in Prayer) woman stand?
A: It is permissible for a woman to lead women in Salah and she should stand in the middle. If the Ma'mum is only one woman, then she should stand on the right side of the leading woman.
May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
