The Hoori'ayn (Fair Females)

The Hoori'ayn (Fair Females)

Regarding the Hooris, Allaahu azza wa jallasaid:

56) Wherein both will be Qaasiraatut-Tarf those chaste females (wives) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them.

57) Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

58) (In beauty) they are like rubies and coral

59) Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

[Soorah Ar-Rahmaan 56-59]

And He said,

22) And (there will be) Hoor (the Houris-fair females) with wide, lovely eyes (as wives for the pious),

23) Like unto preserved pearls.

24) A reward for what they used to do.

25) No Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk) will they hear therein, nor any sinful speech (like backbiting, etc.).

26) But only the saying of: Salaam!, Salaam! (greetings with peace)

[Soorah Al-Waaqi'ah 22-26]

And Allaah said:

48) And with them will be chaste females, restraining their glances (desiring none except their husbands), with wide and beautiful eyes.
49) (Delicate and pure) as if they were (hidden) eggs (well) preserved
50) Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning
[Soorah As-Saffaat 48-50]
Anas ibn Maalik narrated that the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) said, "Verily inParadise there is a market in which (the inhabitants of Paradise) will come to every Friday. The North wind will blow and scatter fragrances on their faces and on their clothes. This will add to their beauty and their attractiveness. They will then go back to their mates after having an added luster to their beauty and their attractiveness. Their mates will say to them, 'By Allaah you have been increased in beauty and loveliness after leaving us,' and they will say, 'By Allah you too have increased in beauty and attractiveness after us.'"
[Muslim]
Narrated from Anas radhiyallaahu ta'aalaa 'anhu:
Umm (the mother of) Haarithah came to Allaah's Messenger after Haarithah had been martyred on the Day (of the battle) of Badr by an arrow thrown by an unknown person. She said, "O Messenger of Allaah! You know the position of Haaritha in my heart (i.e. how dear to me he was), so if he is in Paradise, I will not weep for him, or otherwise, you will see what I will do." The Prophet said, "Are you mad? Is there only one Paradise? There are many Paradises, and he is in the highest Paradise of Firdaws." The Prophet added, "A forenoon journey or an after noon journey in Allaah's Cause is better than the whole world and whatever is in it; and a place equal to an arrow bow of anyone of you, or a place equal to a foot in Paradise is better than the whole world and whatever is in it; and if one of the women of Paradise looked at the earth, she would fill the whole space between them (the earth and the heaven) with light, and would fill whatever is in between them, with perfume, and the veil of her face is better than the whole world and whatever is in it."

[Saheeh al-Bukhaaree

From Muhammad who reported that some (persons) stated with a sense of pride and some discussed whether there would be more men inParadise or more women. It was upon this that Abu Hurayrah radhiyallaahu 'anhu reported that Abul-Qaasim (the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) said: The (members) of the first group to get into Paradise would have their faces as bright as full moon during the night, and the next to this group would have their faces as bright as the shining stars in the sky, and every personwould have two wives and the marrow of their shanks would glimmer beneath the flesh and there would be none without a wife in Paradise
[Saheeh Muslim]
